Questions about Masjid Wala

What is Masjid Wala?

Masjid Wala, also written MasjidWala, is a website, Android app and TV app for masjids. It shows daily prayer times and each masjid's own iqamah times, and displays them with announcements on a screen inside the masjid.

What is the difference between prayer time and iqamah time?

The prayer (start) time is when the time for a salah begins, worked out from the sun's position at your location. The iqamah or jamaat time is when the congregation stands for prayer in a particular masjid, and each masjid sets its own.

How are today's prayer times worked out?

They are calculated for your city or location from the sun's position, using the AlAdhan prayer-times service. Your location is only used to calculate the times and stays on this device.

How can my masjid show its times on a TV?

Create an account and register your masjid, install the Masjid Wala TV app on an Android TV or TV box in the masjid, and log in with your admin email. The screen then follows the times you set on this website.

Is there a Masjid Wala app for phones?

Yes. The Masjid Wala Android app is on Google Play and shows the same prayer and iqamah times.
